Después de una larga temporada, llegó el momento de conocer la lista de filmes ganadores de los Premios Oscar 2023.
“Everything Everywhere All At Once” cumplió los pronósticos y arrasó en la velada, pues se llevó 7 premios Oscar a casa: Mejor Película, Dirección, Guion Original, Acriz, Actor, Actriz de Reparto y Edición. Es la ganadora de Mejor Película con más victorias desde “Slumdog Millionaire”.
La cinta alemana antibélica “All Quiet on the Western Front” también tuvo una gran noche, pues se llevó 4 premios Oscar, incluyendo Mejor Diseño de Producción, Score Original, Fotografía y Película Internacional. Además, “The Whale” obtuvo dos premios: Mejor Actor (Brendan Fraser) y Mejor Maquillaje y Peluquería.
Otras victorias destacadas fueron “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” en Mejor Película Animada, “Navalny” en Mejor Documental y “RRR” en Mejor Canción Original por la maravillosa “Naatu Naatu”, cuya presentación en vivo causó euforia.
Triste e injustamente, “The Banshees of Inisherin”, “Babylon”, “The Fabelmans”, “TÁR” y “Elvis” se fueron a casa con las manos vacías.
En cuanto a la industria, A24 fue la gran vencedora: gracias a “The Whale” y “EEAAO”, obtuvo 9 premios Oscar en total. Después, Netflix obtuvo 6 gracias a “Pinocchio”, “The Elephant Whisperers” y “All Quiet on the Western Front”. Disney se quedó con 2 (“Avatar 2” y “Black Panther 2”).
Jimmy Kimmel fue el anfitrión de la velada. Entre las y los presentadores tuvimos a Harrison Ford, Halle Berry, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Chastain, Andrew Garfield, Salma Hayek y Samuel L. Jackson. En cuanto a música, la ceremonia contó con interpretaciones en vivo de Lady Gaga, Rihanna, David Byrne, Son Lux, Stephanie Hsu, Diane Warren, Sofia Carson, Rahul Sipligunj, Kaala Bhairava y Lenny Kravitz.
