Se anunciaron las nominaciones a los Critics’ Choice Awards 2022. “Belfast” y “West Side Story” lideran la lista con once menciones cada una, incluyendo Mejor Película.

Otras películas muy nominadas fueron “The Power of the Dog” y “Dune” con diez, seguidas de “Licorice Pizza” y “Nightmare Alley” con 8. “King Richard” y “Don’t Look Up” coleccionaron seis.
Como ya es costumbre, los Critics’ Choice nos muestran una total carencia de imaginación y libre albedrío, pues siguen el status quo, y de hecho, la gran mayoría de las categorías son copias idénticas del Top 10 o Top 5 de Gold Derby. No hay sorpresas ni nada destacable aquí, sólo votantes dejándose llevar por la corriente.
Recordemos que no hay categoría documental debido a que el cine de no ficción tiene su propia entrega: los Critics Choice Documentary Awards, mismos que recientemente coronaron a “Summer of Soul” con su premio máximo.
