Tras una larga temporada, ha llegado el momento de conocer a las películas ganadoras de los premios Oscar 2021.
“Nomadland” obtuvo Mejor Película, Mejor Actriz y Mejor Dirección. “The Father” se quedó con Mejor Guion Adaptado y Mejor Actor. “Sound of Metal” obtuvo Mejor Sonido y Mejor Edición. Sin embargo, la conversación estuvo lejos del arte porque la ceremonia fue un desastre.
Uno de los tradicionales atractivos son los montajes y las presentaciones de actuación, pero este año decidieron reemplazarlos por tediosos discursos que audiencias casuales probablemente hayan aborrecido. No hubo cohesión en la ceremonia y una decisión mala tras la siguiente.
La mayor controversia llegó al final cuando la categoría de Mejor Película fue presentada antes de Mejor Actriz y Actor. Aparentemente querían acabar con el momento emotivo de la victoria de Chadwick Boseman, pero Anthony Hopkins sorprendió llevándose el Oscar. Sin embargo, a Hopkins no le interesan los premios y no estuvo presente, provocando que el final fuera sumamente anticlimático. Fue un desastre de épicas proporciones en donde intentaron celebrar a Boseman, pero terminaron arruinando los momentos de Hopkins y Zhao.
