Se anunció la lista de nominaciones a los Satellite Awards 2022 en donde “Belfast” lidera con 13 menciones, seguida de “The Power of the Dog” con 12 y “Dune” con 10.
Estos reconocimientos corren a cargo de la International Press Academy, asociación de periodistas de entretenimiento estadounidenses y foráneos. Tienen poca importancia en la temporada pero son un buen termómetro de las actuaciones favoritas y de las películas internacionales que están recibiendo atención. Ver a “Noche de fuego” (México) y “El buen patrón” (España) acompañando a las favoritas de la temporada como “Compartment No. 6” (Finlandia) y “Drive my Car” (Japón) son buenas señales para sus prospectos de Oscar.
Entre las inclusiones agradables encontramos “A Hero” y “Madres paralelas” nominadas a Mejor Guion Original. Asimismo, las nominaciones de Clifton Collins Jr. (“Jockey”) en Mejor Actor (Drama) y Renate Reinsve (“The Worst Person in the World”) en Mejor Actriz (Comedia) son pequeños pero jugosos empujones de visibilidad para dos potenciales, pero infravalorades contendientes.
Una gran sorpresa es “East of Mountains” nominada a Mejor Película (Drama) y Mejor Actor (Drama); la cinta tiene 100% en Rotten Tomatoes pero no viene haciendo ningún tipo de ruido.
