La ICS reveló la lista de películas ganadoras en sus International Cinephile Society Awards 2022 en donde encontramos mucho amor para algunas de las mejores películas del año pasado: “Happening”, “Benediction”, “Drive My Car”, “Annette”, “What Do We See When We Look at the Sky?”, entre otras.
La International Cinephile Society es una organización integrada por profesionales, historiadores y periodistas que hacen siempre un gran trabajo dando luz a grandes productos cinematográficos de todo el mundo.
“Happening”, drama sobre aborto dirigido por Audrey Diwan, fue nombrada Mejor Película en los ICS 2022. Además, obtuvo Mejor Actuación Revelación para su protagonista Anamaria Vartolomei, así como segundos lugares en Mejor Dirección, Actriz, Actriz de Reparto y Guion Adaptado.
El ICS 2022 de Mejor Dirección fue para Jane Campion por “The Power of the Dog”, película que quedó en quinto lugar de las votaciones de Mejor Película.
“Benediction” de Terence Davies obtuvo Mejor Actor para Jack Lowden, así como Mejor Guion Original, Mejor Fotografía y un tercer lugar en Mejor Película. Esta cinta cuenta la historia del poeta, escritor y soldado Siegfried Sassoon.
Y no podían faltar los premios para Ryusuke Hamaguchi. “Drive My Car” obtuvo segundo lugar en Mejor Película y Mejor Elenco, además de ganar Mejor Guion Adaptado. Su otra película del 2021 “Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy” quedó en noveno lugar de Mejor Película y ganó Mejor Elenco.
Recomiendo ampliamente buscar y ver las películas ganadoras y nominadas de esta justa, pues la ICS suele darle luz a extraordinarios filmes que no verás en las populistas entregas estadounidenses.
