Se anunciaron a los ganadores y ganadoras de los International Film Society Critics Awards 2021 (IFSC) y “The Worst Person in the World” de Joachim Trier dominó con victorias en Mejor Película, Mejor Actriz y Mejor Guion Original.
Otra película muy premiada en estos IFSC fue “Mass” de Fran Kranz, pues obtuvo Mejor Actor de Reparto para Jason Isaacs, Mejor Actriz de Reparto para Ann Down, Mejor Actuación de Elenco, Mejor Ópera Prima y segundo lugar en Mejor Película.
Jane Campion obtuvo Mejor Dirección por “The Power of the Dog”, mientras que “Flee” obtuvo Mejor Documental y Mejor Película Animada. “Dune” también tuvo buen desempeño con victorias en Mejor Película de Acción, Diseño Sonoro, Efectos Visuales y Trabajo de Stunts.
La IFSC es una asociación emergente de crítica internacional a la que pertenece su servidor y en donde se está haciendo un buen trabajo visibilizando cine de todas partes del mundo y ésta, su segunda entrega de premios, es evidencia de ello: encontramos mucho amor para cine internacional e independiente en todas las categorías, tanto en vencedoras como nominadas.
